What personal data we collect
NDMnet.eu does not collect or share visitor personal data, except for the anti-spam measures described below.
Real-time anti-spam check. The contact form recognizes the sender's IP address and keeps it for a few minutes, after which it is automatically deleted. Unlike common CAPTCHAs, this check uses no cookies and does not track browsing.
Voluntarily submitted messages. Submitting the form results in the acquisition of the email address, the IP address, the message content and any metadata, solely to identify and respond to the visitor. To ensure the message is not lost in case of technical issues, a copy may be kept on the server for up to 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted.
Anti-abuse log. When a submission is classified as suspicious (a repeated or automated attempt, or an email address that cannot be replied to), the message data (name, email, content, IP address and browser information) may be recorded for up to 60 days, solely to identify and counter abuse, after which it is automatically deleted. In rare cases, a genuine visitor could be mistakenly flagged by these checks. IP addresses responsible for repeated abuse may also be manually blocked by the site owner.
IP address reputation check. To filter spam, the IP address of the person submitting the form is compared against public lists of compromised or large-scale abusive networks. Some of these lists are periodically downloaded to our server and the comparison happens locally, without sharing the visitor’s address with anyone. In addition, at the time of submission, the IP address is checked in real time through Spamhaus’s reputation service, which receives only the IP address (not the name, email or message content). If the address turns out to belong to a residential or dynamic network (a flag that does not in itself indicate abuse), the message is still delivered, and the IP address and browser information are recorded for up to 60 days, solely to identify recurring abuse. In rare cases, an address may be blocked in error.
Connection security
Beyond HTTPS encryption, we adopt technical measures at the domain and DNS level to ensure the connection to the site cannot be hijacked or spoofed, so you can be confident you're always communicating with the genuine NDMnet site and not an impostor.
Cookies and similar technologies
NDMnet.eu does not use cookies. The site exclusively uses the browser's localStorage to remember the light/dark theme preference: the data stays only on the user's device, is never transmitted to the server or third parties, and has no tracking purpose.
Use of artificial intelligence systems
The site does not use artificial intelligence systems to analyse or profile visitor data, personalise content or monitor visitor behaviour. The anti-abuse checks described above, which may automatically block a submission, rely solely on predefined rules and public lists, not on artificial intelligence systems.
The site works without JavaScript too
We do not want access to content to depend on third-party scripts or technologies that could track your browsing. All content on the site, including navigation on mobile, remains fully usable with JavaScript disabled.
The contact form also works without JavaScript: it uses the browser's native submission and, once sent, the page reloads showing the outcome. With JavaScript enabled, the form is instead submitted in the background, without reloading the page.
The light/dark theme control is visible and functional even without JavaScript: it allows switching from light to dark and back for the current page using CSS alone. However, without JavaScript the preference is not saved and does not persist when navigating to another page. The site cannot use cookies or localStorage without JS to remember the choice. If no selection is made, the page simply follows the system theme (prefers-color-scheme) set in your browser or operating system.
Further resources for your online privacy
The information above covers this site's own settings (cookies and JavaScript), but your overall online privacy also depends on many other everyday choices: passwords, communications, ad tracking, device security. To explore these topics more fully, you can consult the Surveillance Self-Defense guide from the Electronic Frontier Foundation, one of the leading international organizations for digital rights.
